Home Tour FAQ

What days and times are the tour?
Where can/do we pick up our tickets/wristbands?
Do we have to buy tickets online in advance or can we get them "at the door”?
If tickets remain, they will be available for purchase on the day of the event. However, we recommend buying tickets in advance so that you’ll have access to the earlier, less expensive price and not risk missing your tickets if the event sells out.
Is it rain or shine?
Because all of the residences are indoors, this event is rain or shine. If the forecast calls for rain, though, you may want to bring an umbrella for walking from residence to residence.
What is included in my ticket price/wristband?
Your ticket includes access to all of the homes on the home tour. The tour is unguided and go-at-your-own pace, in any order that you prefer. In addition, many downtown businesses are offering tour patrons discounts and special offers when they show their wristband during the tour.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed on the home tours, but you may see an owner’s furry friend here or there!
Is it all walking?
All of the residences are within a mile radius of Downtown Knoxville. If transportation assistance is needed, the City of Knoxville offers a free trolley system throughout Downtown. The tour is unguided and go-at-your-own pace, in any order that you prefer. The free downtown KAT trolley will pass close to many of the homes so can be used for transportation if you wish. It will not be possible to drive your own vehicle from location to location.
Are food and/or drinks provided?
Food and drinks are not provided with the home tour, but there are plenty of places to stop for food along the tour.
Can I take pictures?
Yes! We simply ask that you use discretion, your best judgement, and respect the privacy of the homeowner.
Are there age requirements?
All attendees under 15 will require a guardian, and any attendee under 4 will be admitted free with the purchase of a regular ticket.
Is the tour handicap accessible?
Yes, most of the tour is handicap accessible. If any of the residences are not accessible, this will be noted on the residence page.
Are the homes for sale, just for show, or a mixture of both?
Most of the homes are for show, but any residences available for rent or purchase will be duly noted.
